Grade 1 Admissions

Please note, the Grade 1 registration process is run by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) and all applicants are required to follow the GDE’s due process.

We strongly urge any parent applying for Grade 1 in 2022 to adhere closely to all dates and instructions with care, as failure to do so can adversely influence placements. The GDE Admissions process is based on feeder zones, as a result learners living within the area will receive priority and be placed on Waiting List A, learners outside of the feeder zone will be placed on Waiting List B.

We can only assist you with the application and endeavour to keep you updated with any information from the GDE.

ALL applications for Grade 1 MUST be done ONLINE at https://www.gdeadmissions.gov.za/. It is important to note that the Department of Education places learners at schools based on this online application. We recommend that you apply at more than one school. We as a school do not accept or decline Grade 1 applications. This is determined by the Department of Education, as such queries should be directed to them on 0800 000 789 or gdeinfo@gauteng.gov.za.

Once you have registered online, you will be issued a WAITING LIST NUMBER. This number must be included on your application form. No applications will be accepted without this number.

The application form will also include a list of documents that will need to be attached to your full application. Application forms will be available for collection from the school from date. Until online applications close, we will be unable to accept any admissions applications.

On submission of a completed application form, learners will be placed on a waiting list until space becomes available. Waiting list A is reserved for applicants residing within the school’s zone. Because Waiting list B space cannot be guaranteed, parents on Waiting list B are advised to apply at the school that is in their feeder area.
